Peformance Class Palos and Times
Sevillanas
A very popular dance danced in pairs or groups at most parties, weddings and events, it is the focal point of the famous Féria de Abril celebrated every year in Sevilla.
As a performance piece it can be danced in an almost infinite number of ways; in couples, groups, solo, with or without castanets and with fan, quickly, slowly and anything in between!
Class times are:
Tuesdays: 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm
Saturdays: 10am to 11:30 am
***Classes must have a minimum enrollment of 4 people to run.
Tangos
A very upbeat happy and popular style danced pretty much anywhere any time at juergas (parties), celebrations, and events.
As with any palo, the dancer, so long as they stay within the rhythmic structure, can very strongly color the palo with their own personal style. See the links below to review the range of styles.
In keeping with that possibility for interpretation, the current choreography for Tangos is set to Rosalia's "Di Mi Nombre."
